On Tuesday, Cox spoke outside the Maryland State House in Annapolis regarding Question 3 on redistricting in the state. If approved, the measure would allow Democrats to redraw the boundaries of congressional districts in time for the 2028 election.

Cox called the measure a disgrace and urged voters to “vote no on Question 3.”

“This is outrageous. This is not democracy,” Cox said. “Marylanders should not surrender their protections of community boundaries under our own state constitution.”

Cox went on to say that residents should know where their communities are on a congressional map.

“We demand fair districts, meaningful public participation and rules that respect our communities,” Cox said. “People should recognize their community on a congressional map, and they should understand why they share a district with their neighbors.”

Cox also took a swipe at Gov. Wes Moore, saying that if Moore is reelected, he will leave his term halfway through and run for president.

Moore has repeatedly denied making a run for president in 2028.
